Indian Recipes, Simple recipe for Dal Fry

Ingredients:

1 Cup Toor Dal
1/2 Onion (Sliced thin and long)
4-5 Green Chills
1 Tomato (Diced)
1 Pinch Turmeric Powder
1/2 tsp Mustard Seeds
1 tsp Cummin Seeds
Curry Leaves
1 1/2 tbsp Ghee
Salt to taste

Preparation:

Pressure cook the dal until done. Add the Ghee into khadai until hot, add the mustard seeds to sputter followed by cummin seeds and curry leaves. After few second’s add the onions and green chillies. Fry until Onions turn golden brown.
Now add the diced tomato and fry for 2-3 minutes adding the turmeric power. Now add the cooked dal and water as per thickness required. Bring to a boil and garnish with Cilantro (Coriander leaves)

Note: Serves 4-5 people
